Regional delicacy available for limited time across five great restaurants

(Macao, Oct. 26, 2016) Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao and Sands Macao have unveiled seasonal menus featuring one of the region’s greatest delicacies, Shanghai hairy crabs. Canton, Dynasty 8, Rice Empire, Golden Court and the newly-opened The Parisian Macao’s Lotus Palace have created special menus that are sure to delight lovers of this unique autumn treat.

Canton at The Venetian® Macao

One of Macao’s finest Chinese restaurants, Canton is led by award-winning Chef Mak Wai Ming who has come up with several innovative dishes featuring hairy crab. The Hairy Crab Sensation is available daily from Nov. 11 until Dec. 11 and offers a set menu at MOP 1,180* per person, featuring six dishes including steamed “Yang Cheng Hu” hairy crab with vintage Hua Diao wine, poached bamboo shoots with fish maw and crab coral, and braised bean curd with minced chicken and crab coral.

The hairy crab à la carte menu features, among other dishes:

  • Steamed “Yang Cheng Hu” hairy crab
  • Stir-fried shredded pork with glass noodle and crab coral
  • Stir-fried mud crab with preserved meat and nian gao (glutinous rice)

Lotus Palace at The Parisian Macao

A traditional Chinese culinary haven, signature restaurant Lotus Palace specialises in fresh seafood, spicy hot pot, dim sum and provincial Chinese dishes, as well as pan-Asian and Cantonese favourites in a spacious and modern environment. Its hairy crab promotion menu, which runs from Nov. 11 to Dec. 10, features a delicious range of à la carte dishes with prices starting at MOP 500*, and includes:

  • “Hunan” style steamed hairy crab and baby clams with preserved chili sauce
  • Shanghainese” style stir-fried hairy crab with edamame and rice cake
  • Braised hairy crab and sweet potato noodles with sweet bean sauce

Dynasty 8 at Conrad Macao Cotai Strip

Conrad Macao’s signature restaurant Dynasty 8 is the home of classic, authentic high-end Chinese cuisine. With a 2016 Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator magazine, it is also featured in Hong Kong Tatler’s Best Restaurants 2016. The restaurant’s limited time à la carte crab menu is available from now until mid of Nov, with dishes starting at MOP 220*, and include:

  • Braised bean curd with crab roe and sea cucumber
  • Steamed hairy crab with salted meat
  • Steamed hairy crab with Hua Diao wine and chicken sauce

Rice Empire at The Londoner Macao

Rice Empire celebrates the pivotal role this vital ingredient has played in Asia for nearly 10,000 years with steamed, fried, baked, broiled, stuffed and stewed rice offerings. Signature dishes include hot pot, Sichuan style stir-fired mud crab with chilli paste and old Beijing pan-fried pork dumplings. The restaurant’s Hairy Crab Promotion 2016 runs until mid of Nov. with prices starting at MOP 48* only, and includes delicacies such as:

  • Fried prawns with crab roe and salty egg yolk.
  • Braised crab roe with vegetables
  • Mixed crab roe and seafood with bamboo fungus soup

Golden Court at Sands Macao

One of the best restaurants in Macao serving Cantonese cuisine, Golden Court offers elegant and graceful décor and an exceptional dining experience that combines the old with the new. With a huge array of fish and shellfish through 9 live fish tanks, Golden Court is serving delicious and authentic Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs at
MOP 498* per piece until Nov. 30.
